The Stage
The Stage
'The Stage' is an interactive artwork exploring relationships between groups of people. It uses a series of mechanical units fitted over LED floodlights. Each LED light is capable of being programmed to colour change and run sequences of effects however M+R have disabled this software and used a plywood structure with sliding filters to change the colours with the use of levers. The low tech simplicity of this process creates an interactive experience in which participants become actors on the stage and spontaneously coordinate light sequences and stories related to the mood of colour.
