Immune Response
An artwork which reinterprets the research laboratory as a theatrical demonstration of signalling within and between cells. Following a residency with the Babraham Institute a performance was developed in which the artists became links in the chain of communication at a cellular level. Considering Lipids as invisible entities allowed for performative interpretation of the fragility and complexity of the human body and the research which endeavours to understand it. Everything may not be as it seems and not everything can be trusted; Anomalies and conflicting data lead to grey areas of understanding.
