Hearth and Home
'Hearth and Home' is a collaboration with the Reverend Neil Lambert exploring and celebrating moments of social interaction. A series of events took place on a tour through Europe resulting in memories which become the artwork in its true form. Fire beacons are a historic means of signalling and exist in this performance as neon invitations highlighting the event to which everyone is invited. Within close proximity to the beacon is a cedar wood table set with a tea ceremony and food lovingly served by the Reverend. The beacon is an invitation to relax and talk with those who have gathered at the table. Spontaneous meetings lead to profound overlaps in culture, belief and lifestyle.
