G-FOEW Prototype
Before making their sculptural aircraft 'Fields of EveryWhen' M+R built a small scale prototype to explore the printing technique, construction and flight potential. This version of the full scale hot air balloon was flown on a hand held tether with a remote control burner and appeared at several public events. The film of the prototype acted as promotion for community engagement in the wider project. The concept was simple - to collect and fly personal stories above the landscape in which the stories take place.
